Adventure Aquarium

So today Ace and I swam on over to the Adventure Aquarium with some of our family!  Ok, so we really didn't swim, but it was almost so nice that you could have!  While it isn't cheap, the Aquarium is GREAT!  If you haven't been, find some time and stop just looking at sea creatures as dinner:)

There is so much to see!  With a three year old you have to keep on the move and keep it interesting.  Our favorite things were the seal show, petting the sting rays, and the HUGE tank with sharks, fish, and a great big turtle. The whole "Adventure" is one of those experiences with your child that you have to make sure you are watching their faces....you have to see the wonder in the eyes.

Ouch...only downfall, it is lots of walking up ramps and steps.  I got a great workout today and so could have used a nap, but oh well, that was not happening!  Next time, I am wearing sneakers!  If I am going to get a workout, I better dress the part.

And just like every activity venue, the last stop is the gift shop!  It is a great one though...

I had purchased a memebership last year, and just got to using it.  I am so happy that I did!

Kid Stuff books offers a discount coupon for general admission.   http://www.kidstuffcouponbook.com/bmb_index.html

Go, go, go..and enjoy! We did!!

I'm Baaaaccckkkkkk

It's been a while since I last posted.  Well, I'm back!  I always have so much to share.  I am going to tell you what I am doing, what I am using, and what I think in general.  Here we go!

Better get the Party Shaker from Pottery Barn. It is 64.5 ounces, only costs 39.00 and it ships for FREE. Mix 'em up and let everyone pour. Plenty to share and less time mixing. Party on folks!! Happy Holidays.

How to plan

Plan...sounds funny when you think about it! So many things can interrupt your plan, but having one sets you up for success. Lets say you see that it is going to be rainy in a couple days, plan to have a meal ready ahead of time and in the freezer, plan to have a new toy or some form of entertainment for a child, if necessary. It is kind of like a teacher having an emergency lesson plan. I find that something new keeps my son entertained for quite a while. I also usually plan to clean something that day while he naps.

Ok, so now it is me time. What to plan now??? How about something that allows you to be you, and not the Mom or Dad you are the rest of the time. Simple things are usually best and the least stressful. Going away for the weekend sounds great, but the preparation is stressful, and leads to a bit more stress than necessary. Go meet a friend, sit at the park and read a book, take a class. Anything that makes you feel happy inside....go, now.......go. Oh wait, make sure someone is watching your child!

Hit the Target!

Ok, we all are looking to save a few pennies. Well, that is what Target has to offer you these days. They have revised the Target brand items and made them the 'up and up' items or, for food, Archer Farms. This includes everything from diapers to face cream. Just take a few seconds and look next to the brand item you regularly buy and you will see the 'up and up' item, along with a lower cost. The products are great. We have used the cough medicine, face lotion, diapers, wipes, toilet paper, and the list goes on. In this economy, take a chance on store brand and be surprised. The Archer Farms food/grocery items are wonderful. They often include specialty type products that are quite good!!

Want to save a few extra pennies...take your own reusable bag with you. Target is now offering a 5 cent credit to your order for each bag you use! This is called FREE MONEY people!!! Take it!

Ok, it has been said many times, a picture is worth a thousand words. Take pics of your kids when they are doing the everyday things. After all, that is what we really want to remember. Laughing, being silly, sleeping, and even crying (they are some of the funniest!). Buy the best camera you can afford and start snapping. :)
